The current limited collection was designed in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest on the occasion of the first large-scale exhibition presenting the oeuvre of Henri Matisse in Hungary. The idea of the collaboration is founded upon the paper cut-out technique that the French painter and VYF have in common: Matisse applied it as an autonomous medium (’drawing with scissors’) in his final and most groundbreaking body of work yet it is also the starting point and a primal tool in the production process of VYF’s patterns.
